"Launched in 1991 the club has ignited a whole new wave of passion for the past-one that continues to be fueled by growing numbers of nostalgia-crazed adults and the media. Fans of disco music and the 1970s continues to turn out in droves to celebrate the decade of Tony Manero, "Charlies Angels", pet rocks and mood rings. With The Purple rain dance floor, a drink menu that includes libations like The Brady Punch, Polly Esther's/Culture Club is the first choice of club goers looking for a great time, filmakers looking for an authentic set and celebrities looking to let their hair down. The Culture Club is a celebration of everything 80's-from Duran Duran to Mr.T, MTV and Madonna. The Culture Club is the first and only club dedicated to the era that brought us Ronald Regan, skinny ties, mega mergers and the proclamation that greed is good. With a "Purple Rain" dance floor and oversized Rubik's Cube, massive murals of 80's icons the Culture Club attracts a whole new generation eager to experience the "decade of excess"

In The R-J 12/26: "Here's a pretty innovative idea for all you drinkers. Polly Esther's nightclub at the Stratosphere is now offering a "$40 All-You-Can-Drink!" special in each of its four themed rooms. Artie Lesavoy, VP of the club's operations, says, "The Polly Esther's experience is about having fun in an atmosphere that reminds you of all the great things of the decades present and past. The '$40 All-You-Can-Drink' special is our way of allowing our guests to enjoy a Vegas clubbing experience without the sticker shock."

The "$40 All-You-Can-Drink!" special is in the form of a wristband and covers most liquor including vodka, rum, gin, whiskey, scotch and Tequila. All of the Polly Esther's specialty drinks are included. The special does not cover energy drinks or shots, and is not valid for special events. The nightclub admission cover price is included as part of the special. By the way, the club opens at 10 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and Mondays."
