2005 recipient of Four Diamond AAA Award. This hotel features great restaurants, Danny Gans and a new nightclub.
It also features..."Bare, Las Vegas' newest entry in the local "Euro-style" pool scene (read: "topless") at the Mirage has a website with a good look at the new pool and desired image. Click on all the categories for additional pictures and also click on the tiny thumbnails which appear at the bottom of the page once you've looked at one of the categories."
"The Mirage Las Vegas is a truly elegant hotel casino and as one of the first of it's kind, it still remains one of the premiere favorites among visitors. Greeted outside by an erupting volcano, visitors of The Mirage are invited to escape to a tropical paradise. Upon entering the lobby guests view a 20,000-gallon coral reef aquarium featuring sharks, puffer fish and angelfish, nearby a verdant indoor atrium filled with palm trees and pools. A AAA Four Diamond resort, The Mirage provides an atmosphere of lush tropical foliage and waterfalls, exciting attractions, relaxing accommodations and extraordinary service."
About the dolphins
A note from the RJ about the white tigers: "Magicians Siegfried & Roy may be retired, but visitors can still see many of their animals at their Secret Garden at The Mirage, 3400 Las Vegas Blvd. South. The garden provides a habitat for white lions, white tigers, leopards, black panthers and other big cats, while serving an educational function, too. Admission is $15 for adults, $10 for children age 4 to 12. Children 3 and younger are admitted free. The Secret Garden of Siegfried & Roy is open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The ticket booth closes at 6:30 p.m."
A note from the RJ on the volcano in front of the hotel: "It may be a blast from the past, 1989 to be exact, but The Mirage volcano is still one of those must-see Strip attractions. The 54-foot-high "active" volcano shoots fire and smoke into the air while the waterfall turns red, giving it the appearance of molten lava. The show is free. During the summer, it begins at the top of each hour from 8 p.m. to midnight, weather permitting."
